Special Council Meeting of the Council of the City of Joliet, Illinois was held on
Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Joliet Municipal
Building, 150 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, Illinois.
I. Roll Call:
Present: Robert O'Dekirk, Councilman Donald "Duck" Dickinson,
Councilwoman Bettye Gavin, Councilman John E. Gerl,
Councilman Larry E. Hug, Councilman Terry Morris, Councilman
Pat Mudron, Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman, Councilman
Michael F. Turk.
Absent: None.
Also Present: Interim City Manager Martin J. Shanahan, Jr., Acting Corporation
Chris Regis.
II. Closed Session to discuss the following subject:
Motion to enter closed session to discuss personnel after which the meeting will be
adjourned was made by Councilwoman Bettye Gavin.
Motion seconded by Councilman Michael F. Turk.
Motion carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilman Donald "Duck" Dickinson, Councilwoman Bettye Gavin,
Councilman John E. Gerl, Councilman Larry E. Hug, Councilman Terry
Morris, Councilman Pat Mudron, Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman,
Councilman Michael F. Turk
Nays: None
Abstain: Robert O'Dekirk
