Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

Present: Mr. Ed Hennessy, Ms. Rebecca Darley, Mr. Charles Graham, Mr. Jim Riggs, Mr. Leonard Thompson, Jr.

Absent: Mr. William Ferguson, Ms. Denise Powers.

4. Petition 2017-55: A Variation of a front yard setback from 30’ to 19.8’ in order to allow construction of a new covered front porch, located at 222 Union Street.

Mr. Schwarz read the staff report into the record.

Chairman Hennessy swore in Ms. Maria Ortiz, 328 Pleasant Street, Joliet, Illinois, who appeared on behalf of the petition.

Motion to approve Petition 2017-55: A Variation of a front yard setback from 30’ to 19.8’ in order to allow construction of a new covered front porch, located at 222 Union Street was made by Mr. Charles Graham.

Motion seconded by Ms. Rebecca Darley.

Motion carried by the following vote:

Ayes: Mr. Ed Hennessy, Ms. Rebecca Darley, Mr. Charles Graham, Mr. Jim Riggs, Mr. Leonard Thompson, Jr.

Nays: None.

5. Petition 2017-56: A Variation on lot width and lot area for an existing lot (with a combination of two lots in common ownership) in order to construct a new single family house, located at 826 Westwood Avenue.

Mr. Schwarz read the staff report into the record.

Chairman Hennessy swore in Mr. Patrick Sleik, 2405 Essington Road, Unit B, Joliet, Illinois, who appeared on behalf of the petition. He briefly described the proposed project.

Motion to approve Petition 2017-56: A Variation on lot width and lot area for an existing lot (with a combination of two lots in common ownership) in order to construct a new single family house, located at 826 Westwood Avenue was made by Ms. Rebecca Darley.

Motion seconded by Mr. Charles Graham.

Motion carried by the following vote:

Ayes: Mr. Ed Hennessy, Ms. Rebecca Darley, Mr. Charles Graham, Mr. Jim Riggs, Mr. Leonard Thompson, Jr.

Nays: None.

6. Petition 2017-58: A Variation of Use to allow continuation of a health care/medical imaging center in an I-1 (light industrial) zoning district, located at 254 Republic Avenue.

Chairman Hennessy swore in Ms. Lori Russ, 254 Republic Avenue, Joliet, Illinois, who appeared on behalf of the petition. She briefly explained the reason for the application submittal.

Motion to approve Petition 2017-58: A Variation of Use to allow continuation of a health care/medical imaging center in an I-1 (light industrial) zoning district, located at 254 Republic Avenue was made by Ms. Rebecca Darley.

Motion seconded by Mr. Charles Graham.

Motion carried by the following vote:
