Sugar Grove Park District Board met February 12. 

Here is the minutes as provided by the board:

1. Meeting was called to order by Commissioner Carmody at 6:03pm.


    Roll call was taken:

                          President Sean Carmody                         Present

                          Commissioner Steven Becker                  Present

                          Commissioner Perry Clark                       Absent

                           Commissioner Dawn Eby                        Present

                           Commissioner Chris Walker                    Present*

                           Executive Director Greg Repede             Absent

                                                               *at 6:14pm

    Staff in attendance:

                           Karen Pritchard, Superintendent of Recreation

                           Eric Smith, Marketing and Communications Manager

                           Ginny Pavesich, Recording Secretary

    Guests:

                           None

2. Public to Address the Board

    None

3. Approval of Minutes

    Commissioner Becker made a motion to approve the minutes of the January 8,

    2018 meeting. Commissioner Eby seconded and the motion passed unanimously.

4. Approval of Treasurer’s Report

    Commissioner Eby made a motion to approve the January 2018 Treasurer’s

    Report and Disbursements totaling $57,853.28. Commissioner Becker seconded

    and roll call vote was taken:

                            President Carmody                                     Aye

                            Commissioner Becker                                Aye

                            Commissioner Clark                                  Absent

                            Commissioner Eby                                     Aye

                            Commissioner Walker                                Absent

                                     Motion passed 3-0

5. New Business

    A. Harassment Policy Implementation

         Full-time staff received training on the Harassment Policy. Training is

         included in the Safety Orientation for part-time staff, coaches and volunteers.

    B. State Conference Expense Reimbursements

        Commissioner Becker made a motion to approve the 2018 IPRA Conference

        expenses of the Commissioners. Commissioner Eby seconded and the motion

        passed unanimously.

    C. Sports Complex Purchase

        Director Repede presented documents related to the purchase of the Sports

        Complex. Commissioners are reviewing these documents.

    D. Appointment of Karen Pritchard as Executive Director and Secretary to the

         Board

         Commissioner Becker made a motion to appoint Karen Pritchard as Executive

         Director and Secretary to the Board, of the Sugar Grove Park District.

         Commissioner Eby seconded and roll call vote was taken:

                             President Carmody                                       Aye

                             Commissioner Becker                                  Aye

                             Commissioner Clark                                     Absent

                             Commissioner Eby                                       Aye

                             Commissioner Walker                                  Aye

                                             Motion passed 4-0

6. Meeting Adjournment

    Commissioner Becker made a motion to adjourn. Commissioner Walker

    seconded and the motion passed. Commissioner Carmody adjourned the meeting

    at 6:48pm.
