Purdue Northwest Pride, featuring former Yorkville Christian High School star Cody Hazzard, were defeated 7-5 by the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers in their NCAA Division II baseball game at noon Sunday, March 1.

Panther Park served as the venue for the game, which marked the fourth time the Pride faced the Panthers this season. In their previous meeting on Saturday, Feb. 28, the Pride lost 9-1.

Hazzard pitched two innings, allowing six earned runs with two walks and two strikeouts.

The Pride are set to play their next game against the Lewis Flyers at Dowling Park on Friday, March 6, at 1 p.m.
