On Friday, Feb. 7, former Newark Community High School standout Ryan Williams’ current college team, the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters, won 2-1 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Mississippi Choctaws.

The game took place at Sand Mountain Park. This was their first matchup against the Choctaws this season.

The Railsplitters’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 8 at 11 a.m. at Sand Mountain Park against Delta State Lady Statesmen.
