On Friday, March 6, former Yorkville High School standout Lainey Gussman and her collegiate team, the Carroll Pioneers, secured a 74-67 victory over the DePauw Tigers in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.
Tipoff for the game at Van Male Field House was 7:45 p.m., marking the Pioneers’ first meeting with DePauw in the tournament.
The Carroll Pioneers are set to compete next on Saturday, March 7, at 7:45 p.m., again at Van Male Field House.
