On Friday, Feb. 21, former Yorkville High School standout Simon Skroch’s current college team, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, lost 3-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Oklahoma Sooners.

The game took place at Dell Diamond. This was their first matchup against the Sooners this season.

The Golden Gophers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22 at 12 p.m. at Dell Diamond against Virginia Cavaliers.
