On Saturday, Feb. 22, former Yorkville High School standout Simon Skroch’s current college team, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, lost 4-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Virginia Cavaliers.

The game took place at Dell Diamond. This was their first matchup against the Cavaliers this season.

The Golden Gophers’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 23 at 12 p.m. at Dell Diamond against Oregon State Beavers.
