On Sunday, Feb. 9, former Yorkville High School standout Ellie Alvarez’s college team won in an NCAA Division II softball game

On Sunday, Feb. 9, former Yorkville High School standout Ellie Alvarez’s current college team, the Tusculum Pioneers, won 13-0 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the King Tornado.

The game took place at Winged Deer Park. This was their first matchup against the Tornado this season.

The Pioneers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 14 at 2 p.m. at Red Edmonds Field against West Virginia State Yellow Jackets.
