On Sunday, Feb. 9, former Yorkville High School standout Ellie Alvarez’s current college team, the Tusculum Pioneers, won 10-2 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Converse Valkyries.

The game took place at Winged Deer Park. This was their first matchup against the Valkyries this season.

The Pioneers’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 9 at 1:30 p.m. at Winged Deer Park against King Tornado.
