On Tuesday, April 1, former Yorkville High School standout Ellie Alvarez’s current college team, the Tusculum Pioneers, won 16-15 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Mars Hill Lions.

The game took place at Ponder Field. This was their second matchup against the Lions this season.

The Pioneers’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, April 2 at 12 p.m. at Red Edmonds Field against North Georgia Nighthawks.
