On Friday, March 28, former Yorkville High School standout Simon Skroch’s current college team, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, lost 7-6 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Iowa Hawkeyes.

The game took place at Siebert Field. This was their third matchup against the Hawkeyes this season.

The Golden Gophers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 4 at 4 p.m. at Siebert Field against Penn State Nittany Lions.
