Athletes in Action tracks players with ties to communities within the Kendall County Times coverage area as they compete at the collegiate level. The following football players will compete during the week of Sept. 10 to Sept. 16.
Oswego High School graduate Willie Rodriguez had one tackle in Upper Iowa Peacocks football's 33-21 loss Sept. 9 to the Minn. Duluth Bulldogs at Harms-Eischeid Stadium.
Oswego graduate Mickeel Stewart had 61 rushing yards, eight rush attempts, receiving yards and two receptions in Washburn Ichabods football's 20-14 loss Sept. 7 to the Northwest Mo. St. Bearcats at Yager Stadium at Moore Bowl.
The recently passed public school funding measure, Senate Bill 1947, is slated to provide targeted property tax relief to certain sections of Illinois, including several school districts in Kendall County.
