Yorkville Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Aug. 10.

When the Yorkville School District hires new teachers each year, many of them are new not only to the school district but to our community as well. To welcome and introduce them to area businesses and services, the Yorkville Chamber invited the newly-hired teachers to its 10th Annual New Teacher Breakfast, held August 8 at Whitetail Ridge Golf Club.
Tables at the venue featured creative centerpieces, designed by sponsoring businesses and won by teachers. Additionally, each teacher received special recognition, gift cards, and “goody bags” filled with gifts and promotional items from more than 40 businesses that participated as hosts or sponsors.
