Analysis: Oswego pays $2.14 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Oswego FPD Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 68 percent of the $1,708,163 the Oswego FPD Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.14 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kendall County Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Oswego contributed $1,161,741 to the fund, which saw a $187,137 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $541,770, or 31.7 percent, in 2018. Another $4,652 came from other unspecified sources.
