City of Joliet Finance Committee met September 19.

Absent: Councilman Pat Mudron.
Also Present: Councilwoman Bettye Gavin, Director of Finance James Ghedotte, Director of Administrative Services Kenneth R. Mihelich, and Director of Information Technology/CIO David Braner.
2. Approval of Minutes – Regular Meeting – August 15, 2017
Motion to approve the Regular Meeting Minutes held on August 15, 2017 was made by Councilman John E. Gerl.
Motion seconded by Councilman Michael F. Turk.
Motion carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilman Michael F. Turk, Councilman John E. Gerl.
Nays: None.
3. Request for Authorization to Award a Contract for Auditing Services for a Five-Year Period
Council Memo #506-17
Mr. Ghedotte reviewed Council Memo #506-17 regarding Auditing Services provided by Wermer, Rogers, Doran and Ruzon LLC. He is pleased with their services and is recommending they be awarded a five year contract. The Committee voted to approve the recommendation; therefore, it will be discussed and voted upon at the City Council meeting later this evening.
Motion to approve the Request for Authorization to Award a Contract for Auditing Services for a Five-Year Period was made by Councilman John E. Gerl. Motion seconded by Councilman Michael F. Turk.

Chairman Turk said there has been a request for closed session to discuss personnel, collective bargaining, land acquisition or conveyance and pending or threatened litigation after which the meeting will be adjourned.
