VILLAGE OF OSWEGO: Oswego Beats & Eats starts this Saturday!

Musicfeast

Village of Oswego issued the following announcement on July 28.

Oswego Beats & Eats returns to Main Street this Saturday, July 28, with the best live music and food trucks from around Chicagoland – with free entry!

Headlining this year is Illinois-based singer-songwriter Dan Hubbard, passing back through his home state while on national tour for his fourth solo album, Dan Hubbard. The up-and-coming roots-rocker has shared the stage with Blues Traveler, Gin Blossoms, Grand Funk Railroad and more, and is known for his seamless blend of big, vibrant vocals, and musings that brim with raw emotion.

Hubbard plays at 9 p.m., following blues collective The Hurricane Project at 5:45 p.m. and the all the summer reggae vibes of the Concrete Roots at 7:30 p.m.

New this year: Beats & Eats VIP Patio

Catch all these acts from a seat up front on the new VIP Patio. VIPs get an exclusive upfront seat on the VIP patio adjacent to the front of the stage, plus a VIP lanyard and wristband, and a 20-oz. souvenir glow mug.

Beat the lines and get back to the music faster with access to the beer tent’s VIP counter, and as an additional bonus, VIPs will get to purchase drinks in their 20-oz. mug for the same price as a 16-oz. pour.

A limited number of VIP patio seats are still available at www.oswegobeatsandeats.com. VIP seats are $30.

Partial proceeds from this year’s Oswego Beats & Eats will provide “eats” for the Oswego Senior Center’s lunch program and “beats” by supporting music programs at School District 308 schools.

Volunteers still needed

Volunteers can support the Oswego community and these great causes, all while getting in on the fun! Plus, for their dedication, volunteers will get a Beats & Eats volunteer shirt, a burrito from our generous sponsor Chipotle, tickets for one beer or specialty cocktail, and unlimited bottled water.

Sign up to volunteer at www.oswegobeatsandeats.com/volunteer. You’ll find more information about volunteer opportunities available and can pick your shift.

Food and much more

More than a dozen food trucks from across Chicagoland will line Main Street, including gourmet grilled cheese from Cheesie’s, the best Cajun cuisine from Boo Coo Roux, authentic Peruvian flavors from Umbrella Azul, and award-winning barbecue from Team FIB BBQ!

Plus wash it all down with craft and domestic beers, signature lemonade rum punch, and Oswego’s own hometown brew, the Oswego Brewing Co., on tap!

Event-goers must have a wristband and be 21 or older to consume alcohol. Wristbands are available for $2 and include a reusable souvenir cup. Join in our community’s efforts to reduce waste and get $1 off every refill with your cup!

Please, no coolers or outside alcohol.

Oswego Beats & Eats happens this Saturday, July 28, from 5 to 10 p.m. on Main Street in downtown Oswego. Entry is free, and this is an all-ages event. Coolers and outside alcoholic beverages are prohibited. For a full line-up of music and food, check out www.oswegobeatsandeats.com.
