PLANO POLICE DEPARTMENT: Plano Police Department new hires

Plano Police Department issued the following announcement on Aug. 2.

The Plano Police Department has hired three probationary police officers to fill vacancies in the department. Luis C. Arreola, Brandon R. Miller and Nayelli Perez were sworn in on July 30th, 2018 and will be attending the Cook County Sheriff's Police Training Academy on August 27th, 2018 for 16 weeks. Upon graduation, all three will be paired with a field training officer for on the job training.

Recruit Arreola grew up in Cicero, Illinois and graduated from Morton East High School. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Sciences from East-West University.

Recruit Miller grew up in Plano, Illinois and graduated from Plano High School. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Aurora University.

Recruit Perez grew up in Aurora, Illinois and graduated from East Aurora High School. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Aurora University.
