Yorkville Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Sept. 4.
This favorite community event is coming soon so please mark your calendars in order to not miss out. This rummage sale takes place on Friday, September 21 from 9am to 7:30pm and Saturday September 22 from9am to noon. The bake sale starts on Friday and lasts until the last delicious home-baked goodie is sold. You’ll have fun looking at and selecting your treasures at incredibly affordable prices. If you aren’t interested in making a purchase, then perhaps you would like to donate your no longer wanted, but gently used items (no electronics) to the sale. Donations are accepted from September 17th until noon on September 19. Proceeds from the sale are used to support the church’s facility, ministries and programs plus community organizations such as the Kendall County Food Pantry, Association for Individual Development (AID), Mutual Ground, Suicide Prevention Services, Feed My Starving Children and Wayside Cross. The donations distributed amongst these organizations based on the monies made during the sale.
