Yorkville Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Sept. 15.
Saturday, October 13, from noon to 11 PM, Kiwanis Club of Yorkville in partnership with the United City of Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the first annual Yorktoberfest, where we are inviting the community and visitors from all around to join in the festivities of the traditional German celebration of Oktoberfest with a special Yorkville twist!
The free event will be held in Riverfront Park in downtown Yorkville and will include family activities throughout the day, food trucks, biergarten, and country music straight from Nashville.
The featured artists are Tiffany Marie, Tim Gleason, Scott Marek Band, Les Richardson, and headliner Jackie Lee! Proceeds will benefit youth scholarships and service programs for the Yorkville community.
