Yorkville Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Nov. 1.
The Yorkville American Legion post 489 and the Veterans Outreach for Kendall County invite you to honor our nation and all of the veterans who have served with the 2018 Yorkville Flags of Valor. There will be American flags on display at Town Square Park (301 North Bridge Street) during the week of Veterans Day (November 5 – 12).
If you would like to sponsor a flag, you may do so for $30/flag. The flag includes a keepsake ribbon and the option to personalize a tag to recognize and honor a veteran in your life. We invite everyone to pay tribute to veterans by visiting Town Square Park to view the flags.
