Illinois State Senate District 49 issued the following announcement on July 3.
State Senator Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant’s staff been available for residents to visit in person during satellite office hours this week.
Satellite office hours held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 5, at the Joliet Library, Black Road Branch (3395 W. Black Road, Joliet).
“Satellite office hours like these help residents of Joliet and nearby communities who want to learn about what state programs and services were available,” Bertino-Tarrant said. “This is our way of bringing state resources to a community near you.”
Attendees received help with FOID card applications, food stamp issuance, health care, veterans or disability issues, Medicare paperwork, foreclosure prevention assistance and much more.
“Our goal was to provide the best possible service to area residents throughout the 49th State Senate District,” Bertino-Tarrant said.
