Plano Community Unit School District 88 Board of Education met June 15.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

I CALL TO ORDER

President Campbell called the special meeting to order at 8:07 a.m. Present for roll call were Campbell, Jernigan, Klatt, V elazquez, W aldrop and W ard. Member Martinez was absent. Also present was Superintendent Baker. Superintendent Baker was appointed secretary pro-tem.

II EXECUTIVE SESSION TO DISCUSS THE APPOINTMENT, EMPLOYMENT, COMPENSA TION, DISCIPLINE, PERFORMANCE, OR DISMISSAL OF SPECIFIC EMPLOYEES OF THE DISTRICT (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1), AS AMENDED BY P.A. 93-0057)

Jernigan moved, and Klatt seconded the motion, to go into executive session at 8:08 a.m. to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the District (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1), as amended by P.A. 93-0057).

Voting aye: Jernigan, Klatt, Campbell, Velazquez, Waldrop and Ward Motion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays, 1 absent.

Jernigan moved, and Klatt seconded the motion, to come out of executive session at 8:32 a.m.

Voting aye: Jernigan, Klatt, Campbell, Velazquez, Waldrop and Ward

Motion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays, 1 absent.

III BOARD OF EDUCATION PLANNING SESSION

Board members and Superintendent Baker discussed various topics as they relate to the 2018-19 school year and plans for the 2019-20 school year.

IV ADJOURNMENT

Jernigan moved, and Klatt seconded the motion, to adjourn the meeting at 11:25 a.m. Voting aye: Jernigan, Klatt, Campbell, Velazquez, Waldrop and Ward.

Motion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays, 1 absent.
