City of Yorkville issued the following announcement on Oct. 6.
A flag can be sponsored for $30 and will include a keepsake ribbon and personalized tag to honor a veteran (optional). This is an opportunity to recognize and honor a veteran in your life or support the hundreds of veterans in Yorkville and Kendall County. Everyone is welcome to participate. All proceeds will be donated to the Yorkville American Legion Post 489. To sponsor a flag or make a donation, complete and submit the form, which can be found online here: https://www.yorkville.il.us/662/Flags-of-Valor.
