Minooka Community Consolidated School District 201 Committee of the Whole met Aug. 19.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

MEMBERS PRESENT: Vicki Allen, Emily Conquest, Kim Fisher, Andy Karceski, Al Skwarczynski, Renee Thompson, and James Satorius

ABSENT:

1. Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by President James Satorius. Roll call was answered as indicated. Others present were: Kris Monn, Josh Ruland, Mary Robinson, Aaron Souza, Tiffany Staab, Jeana Pekol, Teresa Miller and Lori Shanholtzer.

2. Public Comment None

3. Review of the Agenda

3.01 Personnel - Dr. Monn went over the personnel report with the Board. 

3.02 Notice of FOIA Requests - There were no FOIA requests. 

3.03 NEWSELA Multi-year contract - Dr. Ruland will be recommending renewing the 3 year contract with NEWSELA for a total cost of $65,300. NEWSELA is a subscription to support curriculum in ELA, Social Studies and other content areas.

4. Transportation - Update Dr. Monn reported that the transportation department is still short some staff but is still in the hiring process.

5. Operations And Maintenance - Update 

No report.

6. Technology – Update 

Aaron Souza reported that the Minooka Intermediate 1:1 technology has been implemented and is going very well.

7. Board of Education Topics 

None

None

Moved by Skwarczynski, seconded by Conquest to adjourn the Committee of the Whole Meeting at 6:57 p.m. Aye: Skwarczynski, Conquest, Allen, Fisher, Karceski, Thompson, Satorius Motion Carried at 6:57 p.m.
