Oswego School District 308 donated needed supplies to Rush Copley to fight coronavirus.
Oswego School District 308 is on the growing list of organizations and establishments stepping in to assist with resources to fight COVID-19, according to Kendall County Now.
During the shortage of protective materials, the school district has donated items such as gloves, sanitizer, and masks to Aurora’s Rush Copley Medical Center.
The school district released a statement that announced that it delivered more than 45 boxes of Nitrile exam gloves, N95 masks, 18 boxes of antibacterial wipes, five boxes of dust masks, along with 18 bottles of hand sanitizer.
OSD 308 also allowed the Oswego Police Department and Kendall County Sheriff’s Department to loan out two thermometers each.
Christina Adams, a registered nurse and a clinical manager at the Rush Copley Medical Center, said she was extremely thankful for the much-needed resources.
Superintendent John Sparlin previously put out a request for school districts to donate any extra supplies to medical centers.
“During this time of crisis, the district is grateful that we can contribute to area partners who are serving our community,” said Sparlin as reported by Kendall County Now.
