Yorkville Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on April 11.
The Shelter Insurance® Foundation has allocated $1.5 million dollars to help with crisis relief in the communities Shelter serves.
The Foundation approved offering a $1,000 donation per agent to area charities working to respond to local COVID-19 needs. We are asking for your suggestions on local charitable locations within Kendall County and from this we will randomly choose a donation to support.
In addition, Shelter Insurance will be issuing a payment to Shelter Insurance policy holders representing approximately 30% of their personal auto monthly premium for the months of April and May. Shelter is working diligently within each state to obtain approval from the Department of Insurance to get this money into our customers hands as quickly as possible.
