Small business owners are making changes to find ways to make ends meet during the economic shutdown stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Kendall County Now, Bill McMahon, the owner of The Lincoln Inn and Faranda's Banquet Center, is offering family meal options every night for customers to pick up. The meals are offered from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays for breakfast, as well as a lunch pickup until 1 p.m. on weekends.
"Where we are right now is not going to end, we're going to be doing this for months to come," McMahon said. "Realistically, I'm operating on 10% of my revenues here."
McMahon told the news agency he cut services down at his businesses, like internet and some product delivery, to help stay afloat.
Another small business owner, Jeff Dobie, the owner of Fatty's Pub & Grille, is also offering take-out delivery from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. every day, according to the news agency.
