City of Plano issued the following announcement on April 25.
For the safety of everyone, we are still handling calls for service over the phone that can be handled in that manner. If you need a police officer for a simple report or to relay information to the Plano Police Department, utilize this method for contacting the Plano Police Department. As always, if you need to speak to a police officer in person you may come to the Plano Police Department or call the non-emergency number and an officer will respond to your location. Also, if you have an emergency do not hesitate to dial 911 and we will always be there to assist you with your needs. We will be requiring anyone entering the Plano Police Department to wear a mask to protect you and our employees. Together we must all stay strong and we will get through this situation. Once again, utilize the method of reaching us by phone and we will be happy to call you back or respond to your residence if absolutely necessary.
