CITY OF PLANO: Safe Apartment Living

Stayhomefamily

City of Plano issued the following announcement on May 9.

The City of Plano, Plano Police Department, and the Kendall County Health Department would like to remind everyone of this very important information:

Safe Apartment Living

While living in an apartment, please be mindful of other residents, and every family’s desire for a safe and healthy living environment. The following actions are especially important to those who reside in community apartment buildings:

• Keep your living space clean and disinfected

• Wear a cloth face covering when outside of your apartment

• Avoid sharing the elevator and stair well with others, with those outside of your family

• Visit laundry room and mailroom during off hours

• Wash hands before and after having been in common areas, such as laundry room or mailroom

• Wash hands before and after touching doorknobs, buttons, and banisters

• Always social distance when outside of your apartment by at least 6 feet

• Create and practice alternative methods of social interaction with family and friends

• Avoid running errands if you or a household member are sick or have symptoms of COVID-19

• Avoid receiving visitors, unless the visitor is providing an essential service

It is important today, more than ever that everyone works together to ensure all community members are safe. Also, as warm weather approaches, we must all work together to follow the Governor's orders for social distancing and social gathering numbers to keep everyone safe!!
