Illinois State House District 75 issued the following announcement on May 13
“I am eager to get back down to Springfield now that session is scheduled to resume on Wednesday, May 20. I have been calling on the Governor and the Speaker of the House to call us back down for weeks. There is a lot of work that needs to be done in order to reopen our local economy safely and responsibly. Small businesses deserve the opportunity to salvage their livelihoods and support their families; and the thousands of workers whose jobs have been put on hold or lost entirely need to know that we’re taking the necessary action to help them get back on their feet as quickly as we can. This is a time to come together and put our differences aside to get our economy going while continuing to protect public health. We can do both at the same time.”
