City of Joliet City Council met July 14.

ROLL CALL:
Present: Mayor Robert O'Dekirk, Councilman Don "Duck" Dickinson, Councilwoman Bettye Gavin, Councilman Terry Morris, Councilman Pat Mudron, Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman, and Councilwoman Sherri Reardon
Absent: Councilman Larry E. Hug, and Councilman Michael F. Turk

Councilman Turk entered the meeting at approximately 5:36 p.m.
Councilman Hug entered the meeting at approximately 5:40 p.m.
PUBLIC COMMENTS:

Cedric Johnson spoke regarding hatred and corruption.
Minerva Sneed spoke regarding concerns on the release of the Eric Lurry video and concerns on jurors and minority contract concerns.
A brief discussion was held regarding the Police Departrment release of the Eric Lurry video.
Meshona Mitchell spoke regarding Eric Lurry death and concerns regarding the video.
Regina Bew Jones spoke regarding concerns of Eric Lurry death and local contracts
Loretta Hobbs spoke regarding concerns of Police issues and the Eric Lurry death.
Suzanna Ibarra spoke regarding concerns on Police reform.
Pastor Wilburn, Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, spoke regarding concerns on the Eric Lurry death and accountability.
CLOSED SESSION to discuss the following subjects:
A motion was made by Councilwoman Bettye Gavin, seconded by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, to enter into closed session to discuss personnel and pending or threatened litigation after which the meeting will be adjourned.
The motion carried by the following vote:
