Yorkville Area Chamber Of Commerce issued the following announcement on Sept. 25.
Save the date for Yorkville’s popular trick-or-treat event where families visit participating businesses for treats, games, contests, and fun.
We are moving forward with plans to hold the event, though expect it to look somewhat different with COVID safety guidelines. Businesses and families are invited to participate at their own comfort level.

SCARECROW WALK & TRUNK-OR-TREAT TRAIL
The City will partner with a “Trunk or Treat Trail” along Hydraulic Street and Riverfront Park. Businesses interested in decorating a scarecrow for the trail may visit the Parks & Rec website.
Guests are asked not to attend if they are running a fever, have COVID-19 Symptoms, or anyone in the household has shown symptoms of COVID-19. Social Distancing will be encouraged by anyone attending and we also encourage you to wear a mask when in close proximity to others. Businesses and participants are requested to follow current CDC guidelines.
