City of Yorkville issued the following announcement on Jan. 21.

Due to the State of Illinois Tier 3 restrictions being lifted for Region 2 which includes Kendall County, the Parks & Recreation Department will be offering a second session of basketball this winter starting on January 30. Registration will be held from January 16 – 25 and is taken on a first come, first serve basis with limited space available. You can register online at https://bit.ly/3qiOa4t. The program will be held on Saturdays only at Cross Lutheran School (8535 Route 47 – Yorkville), each day will feature a non-contact practice focused on skill development and fundamentals.
Please note, only registered participants and coaches will be allowed inside the facility and all attendees must have a face covering on at all times during the program. The Parks & Recreation Department will be adhering to all COVID-19 related youth sports guidelines that are issued by the State of Illinois. Players that register January 16 and later may not receive their t-shirt until Mid-February.
