PLANO AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Plano Opens Recreation Center Showers for Residents Without Water

Plano Area Chamber Of Commerce issued the following announcement on Feb. 22.

The City of Plano will allow Plano residents who don’t have water due to burst pipes to take showers at several of our recreation Centers. Starting Sunday, they can go to the Carpenter Park, Tom Muehlenbeck centers as well as the Plano Aquatic Center to use showers. Those facilities will all reopen on Sunday.

Non-members are charged a daily fee to use all recreation center amenities. But in this time of need any resident who wants to shower can come in and use the locker rooms & showers free of charge.

Hours:

Tom Muehlenbeck or Carpenter Park Recreation Center

Monday-Friday 5am to 8pm

Saturday 8am to 5pm

Sunday 10am to 5pm

Plano Aquatic Center

Monday-Friday 11am to 3pm

Saturday

Sunday 1pm to 6pm

Guidelines:

· Plano residents only

· Face masks required

· Check in at the front desk and show your license to verify residency

· Staff will take down your name, address and phone number and time of check in

· Stop by the front desk to check out when you are done using the facility

· Bring personal toiletries (towels, wash cloths, shampoo, etc.)

Plano Public Library locations will reopen to the public Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
