City of Yorkville issued the following announcement on Feb. 26.
It’s time to get out and celebrate! Join the United City of Yorkville in the annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration on Saturday, March 13! The day will be packed with activities and events the entire family can enjoy! RUN SOB RUN 5K * RACE BEGINS AT 9AM

LUCKY LEPRACHAUN HUNT * 9AM-1PM
Ever tried finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow? The Leprechaun has hidden a pot of gold in one of the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department’s parks and it’s up to you to follow the clues to find it!
LEPRECHAUN (& OTHERS) MEET & GREETS * 11AM-1PM
Visit your favorite characters at Riverfront Park and receive a small goodie bag from the Leprechaun himself (while supplies last).
FIREWORKS * 6:30PM
End your celebration with a BANG! The fireworks will be shot off at the corner of Rt47 and Countryside Pkwy starting at dusk (approximately 6:30pm).
