MAYOR’S REPORT: Bob Hausler
The Mayor informed the Council of the COVID-19 relief fund. The bill has been passed through the Senate and is now in the House. If the bill passes this will help municipalities. The City of Plano could receive $ 1,441,185.00.
The Mayor informed the Council of a virtual open house meeting regarding Metra in Kendall County.
Mayor Hausler applied for a mini grant, Project Wing Span, he received free seeds to plant at Foli Park Mr. Kurt Dreisilker will be assisting with the planting.

Ordinance 2021-1 Amend Transient Business Licenses
A motion was made by Alderman Mulliner, seconded by Alderman Rennels, to approve an ordinance amending Chapter 3 of title 3 of the Plano city Code entitled “Transient Business Licenses”

Resolution R2021-4 – Release of closed session minutes
A motion was made by Alderman Mulliner, seconded by Alderman Fawver, to approve a resolution authorizing the release of certain closed session minutes that were reviewed at the February 22, 2021 closed session meeting.

Sales and related taxes for December 2020 were in the amount of $ 158,732.76; this is up $ 4,427.60 from the same time last year.
MFT allotment and transactions for January, 2021; current unobligated balance $ 1,322,526.26.
CITY TREASURER: Zoila Gomez - Absent
The City Clerk reported that the amount of the January 31, 2021 Treasurer’s report for all funds was in the amount of $ 7,661,801.60 and the total disbursements for January 2021 were in the amount of $ 827,067.68
POLICE CHIEF’S REPORT: Chief Whowell
A motion was made by Alderman Williams, seconded by Alderman Rennels to approve the purchase of two in car replacement cameras from Watchguard with a video storage device in an amount not to exceed $ 23,000.00.

DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER: Nate Bullard
A motion was made by Alderman Eaton, seconded by Alderman Williams to approve the purchase of a Toshiba copier for the Water Department. Attorney Grant commented that we did not have a lease at this time due to the fact that KKC did not know which option we would be going with. The motion and seconded were withdrawn. This will be placed on the next agenda for approval.
A motion was made by Alderman Eaton, seconded by Alderman Williams, to approve the purchase of a Solitax hs-line sc Turbidity and Suspended Solids immersion probe with Wiper, including SC200 Controller, Stainless steel and a SC200 Weather and Sun Shield with UV Protection scree, Standard lead time 10 days from Hach in the amount of $ 7,115.00.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT: Alderman Rennels
Alderman Rennels has a meeting March 10, 2021 at 6:00 PM and discussed PEDCO updates, banner program and the budget.
FINANCE: Alderman Fawver
Alderman Fawver called a meeting for March 22, 2021 at 5:30 pm.
PARKS: Alderman Johns
Alderman Johns had a meeting February 24, 2021 at 5:30 pm to discuss disc golf, transient business license application involving the Parks, summer help and the budget.
PERSONNEL & INSURANCE: Alderman Williams
Alderman Williams called a meeting for March 16, 2021 at 5:00 PM to discuss non-union wage increases, merit evaluations and Martin Luther King Day.
SPECIAL EVENTS: Alderman Nadeau
Alderman Nadeau had a meeting on February 24, 2021 and discussed the budget.
STREETS & UTILITIES: Alderman Eaton
Alderman Eaton had a meeting on February 24, 2021 at 6:30 PM to discuss the water rate study, budgets, monthly utility billing and signage on Hugh St. Alderman Eaton called a meeting for March 23, 2021 at 6:00 PM.
