A big THANK YOU to Kendall County Sheriff Dwight Baird, who always draws a large audience to his annual Kendall County Update. Attendees enjoyed networking before and after our guest speaker’s address.
Highlights included:
Kendall County Jail COVID update
Response to the Police Reform Bill
Increased training
Updates on the use of body cams and their effectiveness in reducing tension within the jail
How COVID took a toll on resources and its effect on the acquisition of new squad cars
Inmate training: GED Program and other training to prepare inmates for re-entry to society
Summer Youth Camp will return next year
