First United Methodist Church Plano issued the following announcement on July 30
American Legion Riders Participate in Charity Ride
Members from American Legion Riders Post #181 from Sandwich went on a group ride with members from Plainfield ALR and other ALR chapters on a charity ride. It is the 3 rd annual charity ride to benefit the Manteno Veterans Home conducted by Plainfield ALR. Members enjoyed the country atmosphere, entertainment, and mingled with other bikers. Stops were American Legions in Lockport, New Lenox, Sugar Grove, Joliet, and then back to Plainfield for the after party.

American Legion Riders Post #181 from Sandwich meet the last Thursday of the month to discuss veteran events, welcome homes, group rides, and events. Their next meeting is Thursday, August 26, 6:30 pm, at the Sandwich VFW (713 S. Main Street in Sandwich).
