First United Methodist Church Plano issued the following announcement on Aug. 3
Open Roads ABATE at Norway Car Show
Open Roads ABATE chapter members traveled to Norway to participate at the Car Show on Saturday, July 31. Open Roads members set up a booth and displayed ABATE items as well as giving people the opportunity to win a 2020 Harley-Davidson bike as well as a 4-wheeler, cash prizes, an ABATE membership, and chances for ¼ of a cow. The bike raffle is part of a fund raiser for the Safety and Ed Program and the beef raffle is to raise funds for a 7-state seminar next April.
Members who helped set up or worked the booth included Bruce Littlebrant, Frank Lorang, Bill and Sally Kolb, Cherie and Bob Mauer, Kevin and Patti Smith, Fred Chaffer, Brian Smith, Cliff and Linda Oleson. Pictured is Open Roads ABATE member, Sally Kolb, assisting people who bought raffle tickets.
