Report: Oswego School District spent $12,660 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Oswego Community Unit School District 308 was up 36.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Kendall County Times analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Kendall County school district spent $9,284 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,660 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 18,089 to 17,632 students over the same period.

Oswego's spending in 2019-20 was 12.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
