The Historic Preservation Commission uses the technical standards issued by the Department of the Interior which produces reliable, understandable, and up-to-date information for decision-making related to the identification, evaluation, and protection/treatment of historic resources. The Historic Preservation Commission is composed of 5 volunteers appointed by the County Board Chairman with the approval of the County Board and normally meets the 3rd Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the County Administration Building on Fox Street in Yorkville.
