SD 308 is excited to announce a new series entitled: Community Cafes! These Cafes will help engage, empower and excite community members (parents, caregivers, guardians and staff members) in a collaborative environment. Members of the community will be able to work together on planned topics and opportunities to share experiences and learn new things.
SAVE THE DATE - February 16: Celebrating You!
Please join us on February 16 (virtually) at 6:30pm for our second Community Cafe! Our focus for this cafe session is "Celebrating You!"
We recognize that it takes a village and we want to start by celebrating YOU.
● What are some of your strengths?
● What does it look and feel like when things go right?
● How do you support each other to recognize your strengths?
About Community Cafes:
The purpose of these Cafes is to create a place to gather and share stories, experiences, worries, fears, wisdom, and find community and strength together. By creating a safe space, we can begin to further open the lines of communication. The Community Cafes become places of affirmation where we can learn from one another and know that we are not alone.
Please sign up here using our signup genius
to receive by email the zoom link before the event.
Our cafes will be led by Community Outreach Coordinator Mrs. Michelle Earley and supported by Dr. Jadon A. Waller, Director of DEI and Family Engagement, as well as other staff and volunteers who serve in a board advisory capacity with the district.
