1. Call To Order 

1.01 Roll Call 

The meeting was called to order at 6:27 p.m. by President Emily Conquest. Roll call was answered as indicated. Others present were: Kris Monn, Sarah Massey, Tiffany Staab, Aaron Souza, Jill Forkel, Monica Totaro, Sarah Monroe, Rich Searl, Mary Robinson, Gina Ruggeri, Sara Weeks, Adrianne McKerrow, Kathleen Cheshareck, Krystal Retzke, Holly Klosowski, Lisa Lara, Jaclyn Tadley, John Seaton, Jackie Harig, Nicole Thompson. 1.03 Approval of Agenda 

Moved by Skwarczynski, seconded by Shainberg to approve the revised agenda as presented. The revision that was made was to add technology discussion to information items.

2. Public Comments and Recognitions 

2.01 Students of the Month 

Monica Totaro announced the students of the month from Minooka Intermediate School. Adrianne McKerrow announced the students of the month from Minooka Junior High School. 

2.02 MJHS Baseball Team 

Coach Kyle Hasler and the Baseball Team were recognized. 

2.03 STR Holiday Card Winners 

Art Teacher Erin McCormick presented the STR Holiday Card Winners to the board.

2.04 Comments from the Employees and the Public 

Parent Jen Monson shared her concerns regarding CRT and spending funds on it. 

Pastor and substitute Rich Barnard shared his concerns regarding sex education in the schools. 

Parent Brian Pohlman shared his concerns regarding CRT teaching in the schools. 

Parent Eric Schmitz shared his concerns regarding COVID quarantines in the schools. 

Parent Nicole Bitterman shared her concerns regarding COVID guidelines. 

3. Consent Agenda 

Moved by Shainberg, seconded by Voss to approve the list of bills, minutes from the November 15, 2021 regular meeting, treasurer report, destruction of the closed session recordings from December 2019, FOIA requests, Adoption of PRESS Policy Revisions Issue 108 and 2022 Employee Benefit Plan Renewals as presented.

Motion Approved. 

Moved by Skwarczynski, seconded by Shainberg to approve the personnel report as presented.

4 Action Items 

4.01 Final 2021 Tax Levy 

Moved by Satorius, seconded by Voss to approve the Final 2021 Tax Levy as presented. 

Aye: Satorius, Voss, Blount, Shainberg, Skwarcezynski, Conquest 

Motion Approved. 

4.02 Lease Agreement for Technology Devices (Laptops and Ipads) 

Moved by Shainberg, seconded by Blount to approve the Leave Agreement for Technology Devices (Laptops and Ipads) as presented. 

Aye: Shainberg, Blount, Satorius, Skwarezynski, Voss, Conquest 

Motion Approved. 

5. Discussion and Information Items 

5.01 Instructional Coaching Presentation 

Kathleen Cheshareck and teachers Jaclyn Tadley, Lisa Lara, Krystal Retzke, John Seaton, Holly Klosowksi, and Ashley Webb shared their presentation on the Instructional Coach Program. 

5.02 MJHS Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Initiative 

Adrianne McKerrow gave an update on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Initiative.

6. COMMUNICATION 

6.01 Administrative Reports 

Dr. Monn reported: 

e Thanked the schools health, office and administrative staff for their ongoing efforts. 

e Wished the community a wonderful holiday season. 

Dr. Staab reported: 

e Discussed the Covid surge that we are experiencing. Last week we did 307 students' tests to stay.  

e We have received an additional $86,000 fund from the IDEA grant. 

e Title 2 grant received additional professional development funds of $6,400 and Title 4 additional professional development funds of $1,100. 

e We are working on getting some more Binax rapid tests. The current stock is low. e Nurse, office and administrative staff are doing extra work. We are looking to hire additional health aides. 

Sarah Massey reported: 

e We are working on an exit off boarding process to find out the reason why staff choose to leave our district. 

e We still have many vacancies that we are trying to fill. 

e We have begun hosting transportation luncheons once a month. 

Aaron Souza reported: 

e We held our first Ed Tech Committee meeting and it went very well. 

e A future project will be upgrading wiring and we will be putting bids out. 

e E-Rate Funding - we have begun developing our project list for this federal funding. 

e Thank you to the board for hiring Matt Shackley to the new district level position. 

Richard Searl reported: 

e The MES HVAC upgrade project is in its final stage. Working on getting the final cost for the project. 

e Snow plowing will be broken up to three different vendors. Roberts Brothers, Cut Above and Carefree Landscaping. 

e Over break we will be doing air filter changes district wide. 

6.02 Board Topics

7.0 Executive Session 

Moved by Blount, seconded by Voss to go into closed session to discuss negotiations. Motion Carried at 8:46 p.m.

Moved by Voss, seconded by Blount to return to open session at 9:29 p.m. Motion Carried at 9:29 p.m.
