2022 Open Roads ABATE Books

Open Roads ABATE of Illinois, Inc. Chapter is promoting their summer run books for bikers and car enthusiasts to enjoy this summer.  Chapter members - Bill and Sally Kolb, Frank Lorang, Kevin and Patti Smith, Sharyl and Sam Mataya, Ralph Torres, Cliff and Linda Oleson - coordinated this project to share their enthusiasm and excitement to others as a way to network with other chapters, organizations, communities, and to get people riding either by bike or another means of transportation.

The book has 60 stops which include bike dealers, places of interest, and bar/grills from the area from I-80 to the Wisconsin border and Route 47 to the Mississippi River (there are a couple of stops out of this area).  Dates are from April 1 through September 30 with a post party at the Plano American Legion on October 1.

Bonus stops are Farm Friends in Big Rock, Top Fuel Saloon in Braidwood, Turn Back Time Car Show in Sycamore, Whiskey Acres near DeKalb, and Freedom and Awareness Rally on May 3 in Springfield.  Book donations are $10 each for safety and education projects.

Get your book now, ride with pride, visit new businesses, and have fun.  Call Linda on (630) 552-3828, or Sally on (815) 791-3435 or visit the Open Roads ABATE Facebook page to get a book.
