State Sen. Sue Rezin (R-Morris) recently announced she will be hosting an Aug. 30 mobile DMV unit event in Sheridan, according to an Illinois Valley Times report. The event will be held at the Robert Rowe Public Library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The unit will provide services such as the renewal or replacement of driver's licenses, motor voter registration, renewal stickers for license plates, and organ/tissue donor registration.
In addition, she revealed that she is recruiting interns for 2022 to work in her Morris and Peru offices for duties that may include "community outreach, constituent communications, database building," the Illinois Valley Times reports.
Earlier in June, Rezin participated in the 19th annual Illinois Motorcycle Freedom Run in Marseilles, which was held at the Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial, according to a Grundy Reporter article.
“This is a special ceremony to recognize the Gold Star families and their loved ones that lost their lives defending our country,” Rezin stated in a Facebook post. “To a fallen hero, you shall never be forgotten.
On Aug. 16, Rezin reached out to the community by holding office hours at the Plano Community Library.
