KIDS TRIATHLON on September 25

KIDS TRIATHLON

SEPTEMBER 25 @ 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Kids are filled with the energy to swim, bike, and run to the finish line. Coordinated in partnership with the School District’s Physical Education teachers, 3rd through 8th graders compete in this noncontinuously timed event consisting of a 100m swim, a 3 mile bike ride, and a ½ mile run. While awards are given to the fastest in each division, the real winners are all the spirited students who bolt from the start and head towards every finish. Everyone receives a long sleeve t-shirt. Park District athletic events are non-refundable. Registration deadline is September 15.

PARKING

To ensure a safe event for the athletes, park in the outer parking lots. These spots will be marked with Event Parking signs. While the spots are farther away, it makes it safer for your kids if you park outside of their biking area.

RACE NUMBER

Your time will be recorded based on your bib number, so we need to see it! Pin your bib on the front of your shirt. Your number will be written on your arm at check-in for the swim leg.

TIMING

Each leg is timed individually then added together for your final time.

EQUIPMENT

You should bring with you:

  • Clothes, swimsuit, and shoes suitable for the triathlon
  • A bike and helmet (REQUIRED for the cycling portion of the race). Parents, please ensure the bike is safe and fits the athlete properly.
  • Goggles recommended for swimming
  • Towel and water bottle
