Each day, supporters help the Voluntary Action Center to touch the lives of so many. However, it is their words that truly tell the story as to how important that support is.

“Meals on Wheels is such a blessing…it takes a village to serve us seniors and they do it all to perfection.”“The people who bring the meals are GREAT. They give me the sense of not being alone.”“I have always relished my independence, but declining health made driving unsafe and difficult. As I had to rely more and more on grocery delivery service and occasional trips with family, I began to feel more isolated. Then I discovered TransVAC in my community. Although I still miss driving, I feel I have independence again!”“VAC is my lifeline. They get me to cancer treatments and the drivers are so kind. They deliver a hot meal to me and because nutrition is so important, they send supplements for the times I simply can’t eat.”

Your contribution helped to provide 38,000 rides for more than 625 seniors, persons with disabilities and students, as well as 71,000 Meal on Wheels for 638 seniors and persons with disabilities.

Past support has helped us meet many challenges including meeting the growing need for services, eliminating waiting lists for Meal on Wheels, and expanding rural transportation.
