It was the tale of two halves for the Wolves men's basketball team on Tuesday night as they dropped an 82-72 decision to Madison College in an N4C game at the Event Center.
The first half saw the Wolves (4-12, 1-2) take control of the game the last 10 minutes of the half, as they built a nine point lead and went to the break leading 34-27.
JJC kept that momentum going the first couple of minutes of the second half as they built a 41-29 lead, then Madison took control. The Wolfpack went on a 10-0 run, using just a minute and a half to do so, to take pull with one at 41-39. The Wolves trailed 49-47 with 13:40 remaining and that was as close as the Wolves would get the remainder of the game.
Everything JJC did right in the first half they couldn't duplicate in the second half, as Madison was totally opposite, as everything they did worked to perfection.
Alex Vassilakis led the Wolves with 20 points and 10 rebounds, with Terrell Taylor scoring 15 and Deavion Scales contributed 14 points.
The Wolves will play at home on Friday as they will host Governors State.
