Kendall County Forest Preserve District Commission met Feb. 7.

Here are the minutes provided by the commission:

I. Call to Order

President DeBolt called the meeting to order at 7:58 pm in the Kendall County Office Building - Second Floor Board Meeting Rooms 209 and 210.

II. Pledge of Allegiance

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited at the Kendall County Board Meeting.

III. Invocation

An invocation was offered at the start of the Kendall County Board Meeting.

V. Approval of Agenda

Commissioner Shanley made a motion to approve the agenda as presented. Seconded by Commissioner Bachmann. Aye, all. Opposed, none.

VI. Public Comment

No public comments were offered from citizens in attendance.

VII. CONSENT AGENDA

A. Approval of Minutes

Kendall County Forest Preserve District Committee of the Whole Meeting of January 10, 2023 Kendall County Forest Preserve District Commission Meeting of January 17, 2023

B. Approval of Claims in the Amount of $10,234.20

C. Approval of Change Order #003 - Ken Pickerill House Renovations Project #1250 (Fire Alarm System and Greenhouse Interior Finishes) in the Amount of $12,711.00

D. ORDINANCE #23-02-001: Amending Ordinance #22-09-002 General Use Ordinance of the Kendall County Forest Preserve District

IX. NEW BUSINESS

A. Ken Pickerill Estate House Renovations Project Updates

X. Committee Chairman Reports: Seth Wormley (Finance) and Dan Koukol (Operations)

Finance Chair Wormley presented the reminder that the next District Finance Committee meeting will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023.

President DeBolt remarked that both he and Seth Wormley had toured the District's equipment and buildings, confirming the status of need for replacement of District vehicles.

Operations Chair Koukol reported that at the start of FY22, the Operations Committee recommended the approval of approximately $12,000 of repairs to District vehicles in order to improve the safety and operation of the equipment.

Commission gave direction to request a Kendall County State's Attorney's Office opinion on whether the District can participate in public auctions to purchase equipment, and if so, what restrictions may apply.

XI. Public Comments

Todd Milliron of Yorkville gave suggested that the Kendall County Forest Preserve District ask whether they would be able to borrow vehicles or other equipment from County's

Townships.

Commissioner Koukol made a motion to adjourn. Seconded by Commissioner Bachmann. Aye, all. Opposed, none.
